Big week for the smart phone arms race. From its mothership in Cupertino, Apple delievered iOS 4—the anticipated next-gen operating system for its iProducts—to 3GS users all over the country, and Motorola and Verizon have combined forces yet again for the next stage in the Droid line's evolution, the Droid X, a slender, smartly-crafted contender to the Android throne currently being made sweaty by the behind of Sprint's Evo 4G. In this week's newsletter we've got a list of iOS 4's best and worst features and more details on the anticipated Droid X (check blog.laptopmag.com soon for our pre-review of that new device). And of course laptops are in the mix as well. The new 13-inch MSI X350 gets a 3.5-star review on account of its fashionable portability, if you're a movie buff or mobile gamer on the market for a notebook, we've got five that deserve your thumbs-up.
